Your residence in the wild

ES: “Lago” // EN: lake

ES: “Soledad” // EN: solitude

The lake of solitude – more than a rainforest tented camp, we are a family home, deep in the Peruvian Amazon on Las Piedras river.

How to get there

2 - 3 hours from the airport of Puerto Maldonado, half of the distance  is on dirt road through the forest to the settlement of Lucerna on the shore of the Las Piedras river. The time depends on the current road condition (rains) and the size of the car. Vans take about 45 minutes longer than a 4x4

2 - 3  hours by boat from the last settlement, depending on what we see by the river.

So the entire trip is anything between 4.5 - 6 hours.

Please note that the travel to get to us is in itself a rainforest experience.

8 comfortable Tented cabins (32 sqm):
A bug free bubble, offering a real rainforest experience. Light coloured floating tent roofs maximise the ventilation and keep the rooms cool.  Private bathrooms with hot and cold running water in the showers

From the rainforest:
Desks, bedside tables, lamp supports and more are all made of wood from fallen trees – completing the cycle.

24/7 electricity:
Solar powered, with a conventional generator backup in case of cloudy days.

Free high-speed internet:
In common areas – at meal times and in the evenings.

Dining:
Enjoy a mix of rainforest cuisine, Indian and Italian flavours – like our trademark Pizza nights! We accommodate to any meal preferences (gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan).
